Dr Brid Hendron

Brid qualified as a dentist at Trinity College Dublin in 1992. She is a very experienced general dental practitioner and loves the variety of work in general practice. However she has a special interest in relaxing very nervous or anxious patients. She focuses on effective communication in healthcare and lectures extensively throughout the UK and Ireland to doctors, dentists and their teams. She really enjoys meeting people and does her best to ensure that visits are as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

Brid has spent many years working in London where she further qualified in hypnosis and in neuro linguistic programming. In addition to her general practice work she now uses these skills to assist people with severe phobias of dentistry who cannot ordinarily attend a dentist. She is the only NLP Trainer based in Northern Ireland. Brid is also Associate Adviser in General Dental Practice (continuing education) with the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency.

Brid is a member of the General Dental Council, Dental Council of Ireland, British Dental Association, British Society for Clinical and Academic Hypnosis, Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and a committee member of the Royal Society of Medicine (Hypnosis and Psychosomatic Medicine).
